Our Sales Policy

Illness or Death: If the purchased rabbit becomes ill or dies within 10 days of purchase, we will replace it with another rabbit of equal or greater quality OR We will refund the purchase price, provided that the rabbit is returned to us. However, the choice to replace or to refund is ours. No warranty is offered on rabbits which are given away. If you have the rabbit spayed/neutered all warranties are null and void.
Exceptions: If the illness or death is caused by heat stroke, physical injuries, abuse of the rabbit, failure to follow feeding instructions, injury or death by other animals, or failure to properly care for the rabbit. Health guarantee is void if rabbits are housed with other animals provided by other breeders or rabbits are not housed in their own cage. Rabbits cannot live with Guinea Pigs due to disease that can be transmitted from one to the other. No vet bills will be reimbursed.
Aggressive Behavior: If a rabbit becomes aggressive, no matter the age, we will replace it with a rabbit of like kind and value, when available. Exceptions: If the rabbit's aggressiveness is due to it’s being abused, illness after the warranty is expired, injury, if the behavior due to the rabbit being pregnant or with kits, or if the rabbit is sold to the buyer with their knowing the rabbit tends to be aggressive.
Miscellaneous: If you cannot care for a rabbit anymore and cannot find a good home for it, we are willing to take it back. Under such circumstances, we will not give a refund, but will locate a good home for said rabbit. We offer no warranty as to the quality of rabbits. We are always honest and will point out both the known faults and the strong points of a rabbit. Show quality Juniors are sold as-is, and are to be considered as "show prospect." We do not guarantee the quality of juniors come maturity. If the rabbit to be sold is registered, the buyer gets the registration papers, as well as any legs the rabbit has won. Comment cards, or a photocopy of the comment cards, are generally also provided to the buyer. Any rabbits with disqualifications (except in cases where the disqualification will not affect the value of the animal as a breeding animal, such as with oversized brood does) or major faults may be sold as pets only. Pedigrees, Registration Papers, Legs, etc: All show and breeding quality rabbits come with full, three generation pedigrees unless otherwise noted. Pet quality rabbits do not come with pedigrees. Pet quality rabbits come with Birth Certificates which show age, name, gender, variety, breed, and the parent's information.

Holding Rabbits: We will hold rabbits for a 25% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. If we choose to terminate the sale, the buyer will receive the deposit back. However, if the buyer chooses to terminate the sale, we will keep the deposit. In certain cases, we will refund a deposit so long as we resell the rabbits, but this is our option. Due to our own space considerations we will hold a rabbit for up to two weeks with a deposit, unless we specifically agree on a longer amount of time. If two weeks, or the agreed upon date passes and the buyer has not picked up the rabbit, we will assume that the buyer no longer wishes to purchase the rabbit and the buyer forfeits all deposits. We require full payment for before the buyer will receive the rabbit. A (voided) copy of the pedigree will be available before purchase or deposit for the buyer to evaluate. The certified pedigree will be given to the buyer upon receipt of full payment. Should something happen to the rabbit that the buyer has a deposit on, we will offer a replacement or a refund of the deposit (If more than one rabbit is being held, only the deposit for the particular rabbit will be refunded, not the entire deposit).
Shipping Rabbits: We do not arrange shipment of rabbits at this time, with certain exceptions. Shipping costs for rabbits can be very costly. If you wish to have a rabbit shipped to you it must be understood that the buyer pays any and all costs associated with the shipping and must make arrangements with the transporter. There are restrictions and requirements. We feel most people can find a reputable breeder in their own area who can provide them with a rabbit which meets their needs.
Taking Rabbits Back: If the buyer can no longer keep any rabbit that we sold them, we will take it back and find it a good home, (72 hours advance notice is required due to our own space considerations). We will not, however, buy the rabbit back at either full or part of the original purchase price. If the buyer returns the rabbit, we ask that they also return the pedigree, registration papers (if applicable), legs (if applicable), and comment cards (if applicable). Please refer to our warranty page for taking rabbits back that are covered under our warranty. All sales are final. Rabbits, will be refunded or replaced except as defined in our warranty.

Pricing: Once a rabbit is held, the set price will remain constant unless the buyer does not get the rabbit. Also, once a price is quoted to a potential buyer, the price will remain constant for two weeks, after that the price is subject to change. All sales are cash only at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Discounts: Youth discounts are offered to 4-H, FFA, & ARBA youth members. We require verifiable proof of current membership each time you request the discount.
Easter Rabbits: Advance reservations are required for rabbits to be purchased at Easter. Please contact us for further information on our Easter sales policy.
Care & Feeding: We currently feed our rabbits Big V Feeds Complete Rabbit Pellets which is 16% protein. Timothy Hay, and a mixture of whole grains. We will supply you with a starter supply of pelleted feed. If you want to transition to a different feed it is best to mix with old fashioned oatmeal to help ease the transition to the new feed. If you want to purchase Big V Complete Rabbit Pellets visit their website to contact a Sales Rep in your area. www.bigvfeeds.com/ We feed 1oz of feed per 1lb of rabbit to our adult rabbits once daily. So a 4lb. adult Mini Rex would get 4oz. or 1/2 cup. Juniors 8-12 weeks get the adult ration TWICE a day. Beginning at 12 weeks gradually decrease the food to the adult portion ONCE A DAY. A small piece of fresh papaya or pineapple once a week can help break up fur in their gut from grooming, especially while in molt. One of the most important nutrients a rabbit needs is fresh clean water daily! They must eat and drink constantly. If they are not drinking they are not eating.
NEVER FEED: Head Lettuce, celery, or grass clippings!

Housing: Each rabbit needs its own cage suited to their adult size! Our mini Rexes have cages that are 24”WX24”DX18”H. Do not make your rabbits share a cage! For more information on housing your rabbit we recommend reading this page. https://barbibrownsbunnies.com/housing/
